Georgia Allen

Georgia has extensive experience practicing law since July 2017, notably working as a family lawyer at Portia and as a Senior Solicitor at Williams McKenzie lawyers until joining our Lawhub team in January, 2023. She has extensive experience in family law, with a particular focus on Oranga Tamariki, Family Violence, and Care of Children matters.
Georgia has been appointed by the Family Court as a Lawyer for the Subject Person under the PPPR Act. This means she is assigned as the lawyer for a person who is subject to applications under that Act, where they are unable to make decisions for themselves and a person or persons have applied to be appointed to look after matters pertaining to their welfare or property. Georgia is also appointed by the Family Court as a Lawyer for Child, which means she represents the interests and views of children who are the subject of Family Court proceedings. Georgia is known for taking on clients with limitations and providing them with the legal help they need. This has led to her building relationships with social agencies to address underlying problems that led to her clients needing her assistance.
Georgia has also worked closely with refugees and other organisations to ensure people get the legal help they require during the challenging times. She finds purpose in helping people through these tough times and ensuring they receive a good resolution.
Outside of work, Georgia is an avid reader and history buff. She is a proud mum, her spare time is mainly focused on her family, including their bearded collie, Eddie
